Senior Researcher Dott.ssa Stefania Federici
University of Brescia
Department of Industrial Engineering
Experience:
My research activity at the Chemistry for Technologies Laboratory (www.chem4tech.eu) relates to physical chemistry of nanostructured materials, focusing on the study of organic and inorganic thin films and on the development of microcantilever based biosensors. I am also interested in developing characterization techniques at the micro- and nanoscale in particular regarding Scanning Probe Microscopy techniques.
Key competence areas
Polymers processing with different technologies
Relevant publications
Characterization of polyethylene terephthalate (PET) and polyamide (PA) true-to-life nanoplastics and their biological interactions
Exploring fragmentation techniques for the preparation of test microplastics
Recycling process and characterization
Relevant publications
Evaluating chemometric strategies and machine learning approaches for a miniaturized near-infrared spectrometer in plastic waste classification
Efficiency of Coagulation/Flocculation for the Removal of Complex Mixture of Textile Fibers from Water
